David: Star Wars Series to Be Released in 3D

George Lucas has recently announced that the Star War series will be re-released in theaters in 3D because of the improvement and expansion of technology in enough movie theaters. "Phantom Menace" (Star Wars One) is expected to hit theaters in 2012. If the first film does well, Lucas will release the other movies each year after. Guess we'll see what is to come!

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

It's been a long time since the last "Photo of the Week" post, but a lot has happened since then. Sarah Kjelleren, TKFV's favorite photographer, has just started her freshman year across the lake at SUNY Plattsburgh in New York. We've been wishing her well while she's been over there, but we're extremely happy to keep this post going once again.

Before I start I'd like to say that this weeks photo is probably one of my all time favorites taken by Sarah Kjelleren. The leaves from the tree, shown in the picture, outline Catherine Feliz (one of Sarah's friends at SUNY Plattsburgh) face in the photo perfectly. It looks almost as if the leaves make up her hair. The use of a film camera and focus on dark colors makes this picture amazing as well. Sarah has never failed to impress me, and I doubt she ever will, but this picture continues to prove how much talent this girl has.

Gray: Sealed 4 Freshness

I hear kids all the time talking about t shirt designs, company ideas, and what it takes to make it in the fashion industry. The talk usually goes on for a bit, dies down, and life usually takes over and those are ideas of the past. A good friend of mine, Alex Herko, did something about it. He took those ideas, those dreams, and is starting to turn those into a reality. With the website up and running, Sealed4Freshness is a company you should all write down now, because I have a good feeling about this one. The ideas behind each T are gold, its just going to take some looking around to find that print job that will make the ideas look fresh on the cloth. Alex is a kid that won't give up after being shut down, and thats the attitude it will take for this to become something real. TKFV backs this 100%, and I personally give my best luck for this up and coming company. New designs and samples will be up soon, so keep an eye out! I will for sure be rockin this out in LA! When I first saw these watches I thought of the Nooka Zub that I got a year back. These time pieces are thought and manufactured in Italy, made from silicon and comes in sizes S, M, L. Only thing to watch out for with silicon watches are how dirty they get and if they will clean off or not.  A release is set for this month through select retail accounts. David: panoptICONS Utrecht 2010 Video

I thought this was a very very interesting video and project done by panoptICONS. In this video they address the fact that you are constantly being watched by surveillance cameras in city centers. The surveillance camera seems to have become a real pest that feeds on our privacy. To represent this, camera birds (city birds with cameras instead of heads) were placed throughout the city center of Utrecht, where they feed on our presence. In addition, a camera bird in captivity was displayed to show the feeding process and to make the everyday breach of our privacy more personal and tangible. Check it out below!

Not too long ago I did a post on VT Union about their final album, The VT Union Is Dead. Below is a video to part 1 of their Family Guy-like show, "Union Daze," which stars Nastee, Dakota and Sean Price.

In this episode Nastee is confronted by a wanna be rapper in a local convenient store. Meanwhile, Dakota is in Brooklyn to pick up Sean Price, to bring him to Vermont for a recording session and perform at a show.

This episode also includes the song "This Is Me" featuring VT Union's Dakota and Sean Price with production by Nastee.
