David: The Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at New York University!

Last Friday on my way down to NYC I heard back from my dream school and top choice, NYU! I was accepted into the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music with 30 or so other students. In the fall I will be going in as a freshmen in the Producer Entrepreneur program. This really is everything that I've hoped for over the past few months and I'm extremely excited to be in. For those that don't know much about the program it is a professional business and artistic training toward a BFA degree for aspiring creative entrepreneurs in the music industry. People like Lady Gaga have been in this program and producers like Swizz Beatz come to teach and mentor students at the school. So glad this is all becoming true. I've already been talking to my future classmates and the range of musical influences, favorite artists, and personal musical talent is across the board. Being able to create with talented people who make and perform music in a different genre than my own is going to be amazing. I definitely can't wait for this year to start... So if there are any high school teachers of mine reading this post... I'm sorry in advance if I drift off a little bit. My mind is elsewhere at the moment.

Below are some pictures of the studios at Clive:

Gray: I'm Back!

For those who have been paying attention for the past couple months this blog has been completely run by David. He has been making the posts, making trips to New York, pretty much just stayin on top of it all. To be honest, the college life just kept me super busy for a while, and I definitely lost focus in both TKFV and my love for making edits and working with film. Starting today, things are going to change. You will be seeing a lot more of me here, and once I get my t2i footage working smoothly with Final Cut again some edits will be coming out real soon too! Below are some stills I took from the footage I have got here so far in LA, hope you enjoy!

Gray: LA LIFE

This past week has been a big one. I had my last day at Fletcher Allen Hospital (my job of 2 years), I had to pack up all of my belongings, say goodbye to my friends, family, and girlfriend, but still managed to have some late nights in Burlington with my homies. Today, my mom and I drove to Manchester, New Hampshire and boarded the plane to Pheonix, then took the final flight to LAX. On Thursday my mom will be returning back to Vermont, but I will not.
I am moving out to Los Angeles to go to Loyola Marymount University, and am so stoked! It’s definitely a bittersweet feeling at times. It is hard leaving those who you love, and putting yourself in a completely new place where you can count the number of people you know on one hand. I am really excited though too. I am excited to start school, meet tons of new kids, and learn how to surf! I am ready for a fresh start and am looking forward to leave the immaturity and judgmental sides of high school behind. Life is about to get realllllly good.

David Update: Big things to come this year for sure. Good luck to my homie Gray out in Los Angeles. TKFV has just begun.

Gray: Congrats to Max Bailey!

Just got a call from my homie Max tellin' me he just got into the film school University of British Columbia (one of his #1 choices for universities next year).

A dope school for sure! Right in Vancouver, with a driving distance from Whistler. I also applied and got accepted, and will be heading over for a long weekend beginning of April, stayin wit homie Adrian Ireland to check it all out.

The stress is all off for max now, no more worrying about if he got in or not.

David Update: Good luck next year homie!
