David: The Love Hates x New T-Shirts

Just got these in the mail this afternoon from our homies Kevin and Henry. These were two dudes that we met when we were out in LA who are a part of "The Love Hates" clothing line. While we were out there we got two crew neck sweatshirts before we left, but since it's summer now it was only appropriate to get the tees shipped out to us. Gray copped the black and yellow design on the black tee while I got the yellow and blue on the white. There is also a black and red design on a black tee as well, but we didn't pick that one up.

If anyone is interested in ordering these t-shirts simply message Kevin on Facebook. They go for $20 each and are a good wear for when the warm weather is around. Get on it!

David: Mayer Hawthorne at HVW8 Art + Design Gallery

Recently adidas presented a performance by Mayer Hawthorne over at our good friend's design gallery, HVW8, in Los Angeles. Both Gray and myself are huge fans of Mayer Hawthorne so we were both excited to see that he was at HVW8 doing this performance.

At this event the attendees were treated to custom silk-screened tee-shirts courtesy of Hit and Run featuring Mayer Hawthorne and the County, adidas graphics, and artwork by emerging artists.

Large-scale artwork from the HVW8 Art Installation was hung on the walls and adidas branded display pedestals showcased adiRise shoes. 20 pairs of adiRise shoes were strung up on a large wire that spanned the width of the stage in alternating grey and white colors, with a mural featuring adidas and Mayer Hawthorne on the back wall. Crown Royale, Hawthorne Headhunters and DJ House Shoes played before and after Mayer Hawthorne and The County performed an hour long set.

Gray: The Love Hates

So when we were checkin out the HVW8 Mos Def exhibit in LA, we met this dude Kevin Thomas. We ended up talkin for a couple hours while we were waitin for Tyler to get back so we could get the interview on the exhibit. He told us some other cool places in LA

to check out, his views the LA culture, and we discussed the LA vs VT treez.

Kevin started up his own clothing line, The Love Hates, with his homie Henry Anguiano. When we were down in LA, they had a bunch of crew necks made, so David and I both copped one after we all chilled at Conart and Known on Fairfax Ave one night.
