Gray: Kicks of the Week

Sorry the Kicks of the Week has been slackin' a bit, my summer mindset has been more of relax and chill than get down to work, but things are moving back in the right direction. With that said, this week we've got what looks to be a pretty basic sneaker, but its unique in its own ways. The SeventyFive X Onitsuka Tiger reminded me first of a mix between a Nike Toki ND and the Converse CTS but a bit taller. The shoe is fresh and basic, but includes gold lacetips, a gold eyelet on both sides, monochromatic laces/inner lining and the word ‘SeventyFive’ along the quarter panel. Only 150 of these have been released to select retailers, so if you want in you better jump on these fast.

Diesel Suede Laced Boots

I'm taking over the "Kicks of the Week" post for this week because I wanted to do a post on a pair of shoes I just picked up over on Gilt (the best website ever). I tried these on during a trip to NYC earlier this year and what I like about them is that the sides fold down easily like a Converse shoe. It's fully lined with a padded insole and a rubber sole with traction and features metal eyelets, a rounded toe, and a back pull tab. SWAG!

Clae McQueen Charcoal

This is one of the first models revealed from the upcoming Clae fall/winter collection. The high-cut sneaker features a tonal gray upper with suede highlights and a notable flap marking the laces. Stay tuned for more looks from CLAE’s forthcoming line. In the meantime I'll be looking forward to this release.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

I'm not a huge Supra fan and I'm not that crazy about the high Skytop shoes that they have, but as I was searching the internet I came across these. Coming soon are two new color waves for the Supra Bandit. The first sports a grey suede upper all over. Black canvas panels can be found in the quarter panel and on the ankle. The second pair uses an all black upper with similar material placement as the first pair. A gum sole sits underneath. So stay on the lookout these should be dropping at your local spot soon.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

Alright, so this week we've got a throwback Pro Ked sneaker called The Royal CVO. If you like the look of this classic shoe, act quick because they are sellin' for dirt cheap right now at PLNDR. PLNDR is a site where they toss up one brand's gear for 72 hours and let the product run out, then switch it up to a new brand. The site is members only, but it is really easy to sign up. It's well worth the 15 seconds of your time, sign up HERE.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

This weeks "Kicks of the Week" are in so many ways a hugely impressive design from Generic Surplus for vendor selects. This plimsole features a minimalist design that is enhanced by its friendly price making it for a great addition for summer. The canvas upper with no detailing and combination of the white midsole and gum outsole completes the piece in my opinion.

For a closer look they are available over at Honeyee.Store

Hiroshi Tsubouchi x Monocle Summer Shoes

The man responsible for creating these slip-on shoes is Japanese designer, Hiroshi Tsubouchi. Up above are three innovative editions for the summer. These shoes are made with windowpane calfskin, caramel calfskin, and a Kyoto print deerskin. What I like about these is that they're nice and easy to slip on and wear on a nice lazy summer day, but if you're worried about looking good at the same time these can definitely keep your outfit going. Nothing like a good looking comfortable shoe to wear around. If you're interested you can get them now on Monocle.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

This week I give you the Nike Toki "Perforated" Pack. When I was in LA in october with my mom, one of the stores I got to check out was Niketown. I found the Air Toki in black, but didn't have my size. In the past 14 months, they have put out 12 colorways of this awesome sneaker. This pack is unique because of the material: perforated leather. Usually the Toki ND sneaker has suede or canvas, but not these. This leather is somewhat shiny (as seen on the black pair) but not plasticy at all. If I end up coppin any of the Toki's, it will def be any of these sneakers below.

Y-3 Honja Hi Black Patent

This weeks shoe is the Honja Hi Black Patent made by the most successful fashion designer headed sportswear collaboration Y-3 from Adidas. "The skate shoe grows up." This mid cut sneaker looks sleek because of its hidden lacing system, clean lines, and foxing tape finishing. And from David and my previous experiences with Y-3 sneakers these fit great with jeans.
So if you can't help dropping at least $200 on shoes definitely check these out and other Y-3 Honja Hi sneakers.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

Aight so yeah I'm a Jordan guy.. so it shouldn't be too big of a surprise that the first kick of the week post will be the ragin bull pack. It seems like people either love or hate these sneakers. I feel like the 5s are a bit played... but these shoes are an exception. I have yet to cop this pack, but before I head out to college next year this set will be in my shoe suitcase for sure.
