David: Moral Fibers Photo Shoot (Clothing)

Homepage Photo for Moral Fibers (Click the photo to continue onto the website)
A few weeks ago photographer Sarah Kjelleren, model Amy Douglas, and myself went down to NYC to shoot and model for the Moral Fibers 2011 Summer Lookbook. Moral Fibers is a new company based out of Montreal owned by co-founders Matt and Martin. The t-shirts are designed by Haitian artists and have a smart phone QR code printed on the back for potential buyers to scan and check out the shirts on their phones. If the person scanning the shirt decides to buy one, the person wearing the shirt makes money from the purchase. An idea that makes this company extremely unique from the rest. Click the photos for more information and be sure to buy a shirt as well!

Gray: SΔBRE VISION

I dont know about any of you, but I am notorious for losing, breaking, or just straight fucking up my sunglasses. I have gone through three or four pair this year, but lately all I wanna buy are SΔBRE shades. I  came across these for the first time at Reserve down on Fairfax Ave. in LA. My first pair were the Heartbreakers, which were a really solid pair of glasses. They kinda reminded me of my 54mm Rayban Wayfarers, but with more squared out frames. I lost these up in Mammoth one weekend, and went sunglassless for a few weeks, which doesn't last very long. I picked up the No Controls in black down at Reserve, and are probably my favorite pair of sunglasses I have owned. They are a little smaller than what I usually veer towards but seriously look good on anyone. All my homies try them on and just want to keep them, and they aren't too expensive either! The thing about SΔBRE that I like is that their frames are all over the place, if you want some shades that are out there, you can find them. Not only are their frames real unique, but they have all these dope color-ways in a lot of different styles *check out the black and white tortoise.  If you are in the LA area, go check out Reserve for all the dope SΔBREs, and every time I have been in there I've been hooked with a fat deal, so you can't go wrong there. Who buys sunglasses online anyway?

David: Those DeLaLuz Online Store Opening at Midnight!

Click the picture to head to their store
Recenlty we've been in contact with the girls from Those DeLaLuz talking about and getting ready for their online store to officially open tomorrow (1/14) at midnight. The store will feature several of their signature releases including the Signature Crewneck, the Peru Beanie, and Glow Button. Everything will be released in limited quantities, so while quickness on the web isn't required it may be desired!
Signature Crewneck
I'm digging the elbow pads on this. Adds a nice touch.
Peru Beanie
I'm definitely going to need one of these!

Shouts to Those DeLaLuz. Can't wait to see everything that's to come when the shop opens up!

Head over to their site at midnight to start shopping! http://www.thosedelaluz.com

David: Influencers Documentary

I watched this about a month ago and just came across it again today and thought I'd post it on TKFV.

"Influencers" is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment. The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach. Written and directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today's pop culture. "Influencers" belongs to the new generation of short films, webdocs, which combine the documentary style and the online experience.

Check it out up top! I highly recommend everyone watch this!

Gray: Sealed4Freshness Products are In!

Homies Alex Herko and Max Bailey are getting things going with their first batch of S4F tees. After trying out a few different types of shirts and different printing companies, they got a sample they were stoked on. For their first shirt available for purchase, they have the yellow Sealed4Freshness North American "Coast to Coast" logo on the blue T. Simple yet dope, one of these will be added to my wardrobe for sure. You can purchase these in sizes S-XL HERE. Show your support, these guys are homies with a good eye.

Gray: Sealed 4 Freshness

I hear kids all the time talking about t shirt designs, company ideas, and what it takes to make it in the fashion industry. The talk usually goes on for a bit, dies down, and life usually takes over and those are ideas of the past. A good friend of mine, Alex Herko, did something about it. He took those ideas, those dreams, and is starting to turn those into a reality. With the website up and running, Sealed4Freshness is a company you should all write down now, because I have a good feeling about this one. The ideas behind each T are gold, its just going to take some looking around to find that print job that will make the ideas look fresh on the cloth. Alex is a kid that won't give up after being shut down, and thats the attitude it will take for this to become something real. TKFV backs this 100%, and I personally give my best luck for this up and coming company. New designs and samples will be up soon, so keep an eye out! I will for sure be rockin this out in LA! Also, check out their new blog !

Gray: Stone Island Bomber Jacket

One of the most notable pieces from this season of Stone Island Shadow product is the brand’s Zip Bomber Jacket. Equipped with Tiger-skin overprint, the piece features 2.5 layer construction with a Wind-Tex® membrane meaning its waterproof and windproof, a fully removable interior liner for added versatility and a multi-pocketing system. Surely a winner for Fall/Winter. The jacket is now available via HAVEN. I like this jacket because it's not too army, but it definitely has that feel.

David: KousKousKlan x The Selling (Video)

I thought this was a clever video that mixed comedy into selling KousKousKlan t-shirts on the street. In this video Frendy and Chris struggle to get people interested in checking out the t-shirts till someone finally does. Directed by Julien Jauniax, check out the video below!

David: Kicks of the Week

Diesel Suede Laced Boots

I'm taking over the "Kicks of the Week" post for this week because I wanted to do a post on a pair of shoes I just picked up over on Gilt (the best website ever). I tried these on during a trip to NYC earlier this year and what I like about them is that the sides fold down easily like a Converse shoe. It's fully lined with a padded insole and a rubber sole with traction and features metal eyelets, a rounded toe, and a back pull tab. SWAG!
