A few weeks ago photographer Sarah Kjelleren, model Amy Douglas, and myself went down to NYC to shoot and model for the Moral Fibers 2011 Summer Lookbook. Moral Fibers is a new company based out of Montreal owned by co-founders Matt and Martin. The t-shirts are designed by Haitian artists and have a smart phone QR code printed on the back for potential buyers to scan and check out the shirts on their phones. If the person scanning the shirt decides to buy one, the person wearing the shirt makes money from the purchase. An idea that makes this company extremely unique from the rest. David: Frank Ocean x Lonny Breaux (Mixtape)

This has been out for a minute now, but I've talked to a lot of people and they seem to not know about it, so I'm throwing it up on TKFV for everyone to download that hasn't gotten it. The guys over at KanyeToThe.com compiled this mixtape together with 63 unreleased tracks pre-nostalgia/ultra so if you can’t get enough of Frank Ocean, then you should definitely get The Lonny Breaux Collection. David: TheManWithThreeNameS x VegetableS (Music Download)

TheManWithThreeNameS is Three artists in one: Toony TuneS, PROduce and The Bully. Three varying styles of music from these three artists have made the sound of their music very different then what others have done (in an amazing way). Toony TuneS and myself met out in Los Angeles briefly and have been in contact ever since and anything he puts out seems to be amazing. On this song Toony TuneS lays down the vocals and The Bully raps while PROduce produced this track. Definitely a fan of these guys. Listen and download the song below:

David: Sarah Kjelleren's Latest Photo Shoot With Amy Douglas

It's been awhile since I've featured Sarah Kjelleren on the site, which many of you may remember through the "Sarah Kjellereon Photo of the Week" posts. I've decided to do without that post now because Sarah is constantly coming out with something new that a photo a week just doesn't cut it. Before I get started on this post I'd like to give her a huge congratulations for getting into the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, which means both of us will be sharing the city together! It's going to be a crazy four years that's for sure.

Anyway Sarah's recent photo shoot was with the very beautiful, Amy Douglas. Below is a quick summary that Sarah wrote for the post:

"I met Amy a free months ago after asking her through Facebook if she was interested in modeling. We did a small shoot at a local party and became good friends. On a recent trip to Burlington Vermont, we were staying at my house and had some great ideas for a shoot when exploring my yard. Styling the shoot I decided on a vintage nude colored slip with lace that was previously owned by my grandmother. Amy wore the shoes that she brought with her and we used two vintage mink fur jackets. The temperature dropped fast as it became dark out, but we continued shooting to get the final shots. I was extremely excited about shooting Amy and she did a fantastic time especially for her second shoot. Without previous experience with modeling Amy continued to amaze me with her natural talent for working in front if the camera."

Here's what Amy had to say about the shoot:

"This shoot was a chilling one, literally. Even the cold Vermont air couldn't hold Sarah Kjelleren back from taking fabulous pictures. She made me feel warm, comfortable and beautiful in her vintage styled dress and variety of lovely fur coats. I love being photographed by Sarah because she is not only an extremely talented young lady but she's the coolest, craziest, most down to earth friend anyone could ask for. Her unique style and eye for eccentric and eloquent beauty are portrayed in all of her photos and this shoot is no exception."

David: Two New Songs From Dave Raps

Here are two new tracks from the homie Dave Raps. The first track he goes over Frank Ocean's track "Swim Good," which is also one of my favorite songs from Frank's nostalgia/ultra album. The second track he is featured on Mick Stillz, "Kick It," which will be featured on part 2 of Mick's Neighborhood Nerd mixtape series alongside DJ Ill Will. Out of both of these, "Swim Good," is my favorite, but regardless both these songs are dope. Check them out below:

David: Criss Lyric Releases His First Official Leak Off of Sumnar titled, Happy (Music Download)

Criss Lyric dropped his new track, "Happy," off to us earlier. This is his first official leak off his upcoming project, Sumnar. The song features rappers, Chuuwee and Nickelus F, and is produced by Zulu. I've played this about ten times today and I haven't stopped yet. First of all Happy New Year's to everyone! To start off the new year I wanted to open up by introducing DJ D-Cutz' and myself's DJ duo, Ditto. To clear up some confusion Ditto is separate from TKFV, though we are all family and have worked on projects together. But be on the lookout for D-Cutz and myself this year in 2011 because it's going to be HUGE. Music, concerts, stealing your women, everything. This is only the beginning!

The video above was our first major concert at Higher Ground in Vermont. This was the most successful Rave in Vermont history and was so big that the venue OVER sold out. SWAG.

David: TKFV Introduction - ChristianFGY

Christian actually has made a short appearance on TKFV before in Maestro Know's video where he visited his school in Las Vegas. In the video Maestro shares some inspiring words to his film class. Below are a few videos that Christian has put together and sent me the other day. This guy is a very talented director and I remember getting in touch with this guy when he reached out to us about our videos. Since then we've built a pretty good relationship and continue to review each others work. Besides directing Christian is also a designer and photographer.

The first video is of Dennaya Famous, owner of the store Dfame in Las Vegas. In this video he highlights the aspirations of a local stylist/vintage clothing store owner while capturing her work and store at the same time. Little side note too, I NEED SOME OF THESE ITEMS IN MY CLOSET! Wow. Check it out below:

David: Doze One x Dozin' Off (Mixtape)

The homie Doze One out of Providence, Rhode Island (my old hometown) just released this today. I respect this dudes grind and music a lot. Not many artists today have a combination of good singing and rapping like this guy and put it together like he does. There's definitely a different sound and genre Doze is bringing to the table on some of his songs on Dozin' Off. I guess it's safe to say this music is simply Doze One and nobody else is touching it.

Wednesday night (12/22), OFWGKTA took the stage at the extremely well known Roxy Theater in Los Angeles, California. All the guys in OF have quickly been recognized as some of the best live performers and for good reason. Their shows aren't only sold out every single time, but they capture the crowds attention, get them involved, keep the intensity levels up, and keep them going till the end. Something the hip hop world has really needed for a long time from my personal experiences going to concerts in the past.

David: Mustafa Abubaker Wins Merit Award For 'Intangibles'

Mustafa Abubaker and Congressman Tom Price

The last time we featured Mustafa Abubaker, the writer of The Surrogate, was last month. About a month later and he's now one of the bloggers of the quickly growing 'The Right Kind Of Brownies' blog which features tons of interviews from people within the music and fashion world. But what's even more impressive is his recent Merit Award for a selection of his next novel Intangibles. He was in the top 5 percent of over 4,000 of America's most talented 17-18 year olds in all 9 disciplines offered. Now that's making smart cool.
