David: Gerald Walker to Tour with Yelawolf

Cardo & the homie Gerald Walker have officially signed as an opening act for Yelawolf on his tour this month. I've known Gerald for the past couple of years now and have seen nothing but progression since the time I met him. I have nothing but props to give for him and what he's done. Excited to see what's to come from this tour with Yelawolf!
In celebration of this incredible opportunity he's releasing another song from his EP titled, We Don't Give a Fu-k. The song is produced by both Cardo & Sledgren, of the Taylor Gang, and will be featured on the forthcoming EP, On Your Side. Check it out below:

David: Lazerdisk Party Sex's New Song Tigerblood

Lazerdisk Party Sex
Earlier today, Lazerdisk Party Sex, released their new song called, "Tigerblood." I remember when Pres was showing me this track a few weeks before they released it when him and I were working together in his studio. This song has a little bit of everything. iPhone ringtones, dancing, head nodding, swag, and a little sex party in between. Big ups to my older brothers in Lazerdisk. They officially played this song for the first time out at Snowball in Colorado, which they rocked. Right now their on root for Miami. Be on the look out for these guys in a city near you in the future! But for now check out the song below and download:

David: Lazerdisk Party Sex Promo Video & Bonus Song Download

Lazerdisk Party Sex
This promo video below was taken at the Black Light White Out show at Higher Ground, which we (Ditto) opened up for. The dudes in Lazerdisk, ZJ and Pres, are really close homies of ours, so expect to see a lot of shows and collaborations from us in the future. In fact I'll be working with Pres in the studio this Thursday so be on the lookout for some music from Ditto very soon! Before I stray off too much though, the Black Light White Out show was also hosted by impartying.com and Triple Take Media, who shot the video below. Live crowd, live set, live everything. Check out the video below:

P.S. You can see D-Cutz and myself up on stage with Lazerdisk and the whole gang at 3:13. And yes, I know, my hat and jacket are swag. Thank you.

Bonus:

The song playing in the video is called "Lemonade is Still Popular." So popular that the SoundCloud version is up to 48,000+ listens. Swag! Take a listen and download it below:

David: OFWGKTA x Bads†anta Show

Hodgy Beats of OFWGKTA
Wednesday night (12/22), OFWGKTA took the stage at the extremely well known Roxy Theater in Los Angeles, California. All the guys in OF have quickly been recognized as some of the best live performers and for good reason. Their shows aren't only sold out every single time, but they capture the crowds attention, get them involved, keep the intensity levels up, and keep them going till the end. Something the hip hop world has really needed for a long time from my personal experiences going to concerts in the past.

Check out the footage below and support the up and coming group, OFWGKTA:

David: Rock the Bells NYC

This marks my fourth year in a row going to the Rock the Bells concerts and every year so far has left me more and more impressed. I've seen acts from Rage Against the Machine, Pharcyde, and Nas & Damian Marley. This year what sold me on going again was Lauryn Hill, someone who I've admired a lot over the years from my journey within music. So we'll see how this year goes.

Concert starts in just a few more hours so I'll leave it at this, but I'll be back with a recap soon. Rock the Bells NYC! For those that have been before you know it's worth it. Peace to TKFV for the day!

David: Summer Heat 2 (Recap)

DJ D-Kid (Myself)
Last Thursday night, 8/19, at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont, myself, DJ D-Cutz, Vakkuum, & DJ Cody Rice sold out another successful show. This show was so much different than the others though. For the first time the response from the crowd was so on point. For a show originally meant for people dancing and having fun lead to girls grabbing onto our legs and screaming our names. The first couple rows were just watching us. I can tell you after that DJ D-Cutz and myself will stop at nothing this year to keep advancing.

Special thanks to Mark Mallory & Eric Dubuque for putting on another great show, DJ Cody Rice & Vakkuum for supplying more dope music, our favorite photographer Sarah Kjelleren for taking photos, and of course my homie Gray for taking some video footage of the show.

Check out some more photos from the show below:

Gray: TKFV vs. Summer Heat (Video)

Above is the official video of David (DJ D-Kid) and DJ D-Cutz' last concert Summer Heat, which took place last Tuesday (6/22) at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont. It was another sold out crowd and successful show - straight CRAZY! This wasn't my first rave that I filmed, but definitely my favorite. The crowd was wild, energy was high, and everything was going as planned. The video shows how sick it was so get to watching!!!!

David Update: This is just a little something I do besides keeping up with TKFV with Gray. On here I'm David, but on stage I'm DJ D-Kid. Hope everyone checks it out and enjoys!

Gray: Rock The Bells 2010

Rock the Bells circa 2010 has just been announced by Geurilla Union, and this year's line up looks awesome. Wu-Tang is always on point, and if you haven't seen Rakim live yet, the dude is a legend. KRS-One also puts on one of the most intimate shows in music. Other artists that have been confirmed include Slick Rick, Street Sweeper Social Club, Murs and 9th Wonder, Wiz Khalifa, Clipse, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, Brother Ali, DJ Muggs and Ill Bill, Big Sean, Yelawolf and it's hosted by Supernatural and DJ Rocky Rock. If you don't know much about the Rock The Bells tour read the summary below for more information:
"Rock The Bells, presented by Guerilla Union since 2003, has established itself as a world-class hip-hop platform by hosting legendary performances by Rage Against the Machine, NAS, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, Lauryn Hill, Blackstar (Talib Kweli and Mos Def), Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill and Jurassic 5 as well as reuniting Wu-Tang for their last performance with ODB in 2004. Rock the Bells has also set the stage for monumental surprise performances by Jay-Z, Slick Rick, BEP and Black Sheep. In 2008, Rock the Bells toured internationally for the first time in Prague, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki, Paris and London."
Check the full line-up and more information on their website HERE

Check out the relatively unknown Street Sweeper Social Club (they are Rage Against the Machines' guitarist Tom Morrello's side project) video of them live in Kansas City after the jump.

David: Rob Swift Concert (Recap)

Yeah yeah yeah I know it's been awhile since we've updated the blog, but we're back! Both been busy with a few things, but let me stop and get to the recap on the Rob Swift concert. For those that have been on the blog recently or have talked to me personally you probably know that DJ D-Cutz and myself (DJ D-Kid) opened up for Rob Swift last Thursday, May 20th, at Club Metronome in Burlington, Vermont. We got a really good response from the crowd and rocked our set, but when Rob Swift went up I'd just like to point out he's way too good lol. He made everything look way too easy. His cuts and his beat juggling is so clean. And at the same time he's one of the coolest and laid back guys I've met. Check out the video below to see footage of Rob Swift (this isn't from the concert on Thursday):

PS: The dude is juggling with his back... come on now

Gray: MURS at Higher Ground (5/15)

MURS was in Burlington this weekend, and I attended the show on Sunday. The place was empty, but what can you expect on a Sunday night. The openers Nocando and BurntMD were struggling with the lack of energy from the crowd (Nocando more than BurntMD), and were therefore pretty shitty to be honest. MURS killed it like always, and looked to be havin fun on stage. He stuck around in Burlington for a few days, and I heard of some kids kickin it with him on church street the day after the show. He is truly a down to earth guy who makes music for the love of it, and not for the money.Above is a picture of my homies VJ Wesley and Jordan Sparks gettin a pic with the man himself.
