David: Frendy Lemorin x The Yellow Brick Road: Vladimir Calixte

Above is the 5th episode of Frendy Lemorin's documentary series, "The Yellow Brick Road," featuring Haitian-American Comedian/Actor Vladimir Calixte. Known for his comedic skits featuring his alter-ego 'Haitian V,' Vlad wants the world to see that his talents surpass one character. In this episode we take a sneak peak into his personal life. He discusses growing up as a Haitian American, as well as the difficulties that are faced in the entertainment industry.

I was very impressed with how this video turned out. I enjoyed the last four (which you can find on Frendy's vimeo page or personal website), but I thought this one was a major step up. I look forward to the next few episodes to come and definitely give a huge shout out to everything he is doing right now. From first meeting him at the Bape Store in New York City, to working with him over at his first blog, *General-Made, and seeing the creative work and mind of such a great individual continue to expand has truly been an inspiration to me. Frendy is like family to me and without him many of the things I am doing today probably would not be true if he did not introduce me and teach me so many things.

My recent trip to New York City led me to get in touch with Jude, the manager of rapper, Priceless. While making my normal stops in SoHo I ended up chatting with Jude in the Bape store and exchanging business cards and ever since then I was introduced to Priceless' music and have been a fan since the beginning. Finally here is his introduction to the TKFV family and I hope everyone enjoys what they hear as much as I do. Check out his bio below.

Biography:

New York City, the birthplace of hip hop and the place where the game all began.

Born Terrence Rowe, Priceless is exactly what the New York hip hop movement
needs. A product of the infamous Brownsville project in Brooklyn, Priceless is not talking
about slinging rocks and robbing your mom but relates to life, love, respect and the
struggles of breaking into his destiny. Something everyone big or small can relate to. With his current album release, My Movie: Good & Bad Times, tracks like, “My Movie,”
paint a vivid picture of Priceless as he gives his fans a bird’s eye view into his inner
and outer struggles to fulfill his vision. “Rehab Thoughts,” a real testimonial to the
hardships his life has brought into his path and how he overcame them. Actor, blogger, model, entrepreneur, BAPE sales associate, & visionary. And to summarize that in four short words... Frendy is that dude! This guy has been a close friend of mine for awhile now ever since I met him at the Bape store in New York City a little over a year ago. And from then on everything has clicked. Always can count on this dude for a helping hand if I need it!
