David: Sarah Kjelleren's Latest Photo Shoot With Amy Douglas

Sarah Kjelleren
It's been awhile since I've featured Sarah Kjelleren on the site, which many of you may remember through the "Sarah Kjellereon Photo of the Week" posts. I've decided to do without that post now because Sarah is constantly coming out with something new that a photo a week just doesn't cut it. Before I get started on this post I'd like to give her a huge congratulations for getting into the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, which means both of us will be sharing the city together! It's going to be a crazy four years that's for sure.

Anyway Sarah's recent photo shoot was with the very beautiful, Amy Douglas. Below is a quick summary that Sarah wrote for the post:

"I met Amy a free months ago after asking her through Facebook if she was interested in modeling. We did a small shoot at a local party and became good friends. On a recent trip to Burlington Vermont, we were staying at my house and had some great ideas for a shoot when exploring my yard. Styling the shoot I decided on a vintage nude colored slip with lace that was previously owned by my grandmother. Amy wore the shoes that she brought with her and we used two vintage mink fur jackets. The temperature dropped fast as it became dark out, but we continued shooting to get the final shots. I was extremely excited about shooting Amy and she did a fantastic time especially for her second shoot. Without previous experience with modeling Amy continued to amaze me with her natural talent for working in front if the camera."

Here's what Amy had to say about the shoot:

"This shoot was a chilling one, literally. Even the cold Vermont air couldn't hold Sarah Kjelleren back from taking fabulous pictures. She made me feel warm, comfortable and beautiful in her vintage styled dress and variety of lovely fur coats. I love being photographed by Sarah because she is not only an extremely talented young lady but she's the coolest, craziest, most down to earth friend anyone could ask for. Her unique style and eye for eccentric and eloquent beauty are portrayed in all of her photos and this shoot is no exception."

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren
Once again Sarah Kjelleren comes back with another amazing photograph, this one of Marlena Tremback. This is definitely my favorite photo from this shoot and I know it's one of Sarah's as well. Here's what she had to say about the photo:
After taking my first trip to NYC ever, I was inspired even more by fashion. The people in the city were so unique in their tastes and it shows how you can really be anyone you want to be while you are there. I did a bit of shopping before the shoot and picked up some vintage apparel. Once my model Marlena Tremback arrived I dressed her up and we headed out into the cold. After trekking through the fields and the falling barn we headed over to a bamboo patch my father had planted. There I pulled out my film camera and took a few shots of Marlena in the leaves. Those can be seen on my blog (www.SarahKjelleren.com).  We then ran inside did a quick outfit change where she was able to wear her grandmothers vintage jacket, and headed out again to the "Stonehenge." The lighting was incredible and air was fresh and crisp. It was a very successful shoot, with many more to come!

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren
Just when I thought I had made a decision on my favorite Sarah Kjelleren photo she comes out with this one to think about with the title, "Death By Riverside". Featured are models, Cat Darling and Domenick Pfau, both of which attend the same college as Sarah. One thing I'd like to point out about this photo is when I first took a look at it, it captured my emotions right away. Sarah's eye, vision, and addition of black and white really made this photo for me. This girl is amazing! Check it out below:

This photo above is the final version and TKFV is the first to hold this image on any website. Sarah's planning on entering this image in a college photography contest so we wish her luck on where this photo will end up! We have no doubt in our minds that this will go far. With talent comes success.

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

This weeks photo is of James Neiley, a local stylist, designer, and a recent graduate of high school. James did all the styling himself in this photo and also the rest during this shoot. I just think this photo is so dope and so simple. Nothing flashy and nothing extreme. Just another amazing photo from Sarah Kjelleren.

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

The photo below is from the first summer shoot done by Ms. Kjelleren so far. It features the beautiful Steph Chang, who is also a classmate of mine. What I like about this photo is that Sarah captures the emotions portrayed on Steph's face, as well as letting off a calm feeling from the background behind her. Check it out below:

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

Here's another one from Sarah Kjelleren. This week is of a tree frog she captured from just outside her window. Yup, we get this type of stuff all the time in Vermont lol, but no one can quite make it so picture perfect like Sarah does. Check it out below:

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

Here's another one from Sarah Kjelleren. What I love about this picture below is the tone she sets in it. Sarah said she loved this one because Astrid Carter (the girl in the picture) "looks magical," and I can agree with that one. Check out the photo below:

David: Congrats to Sarah Kjelleren!

Yesterday we had a huge storm sweep through the Vermont area. I lost power for about 30 minutes and completely lost a paper I was writing, but it's whatever. Dope things were happening like this photo that Sarah Kjelleren took last night that appeared on the front page of the Burlington Free Press! Keep moving up and you know you're always TKFV family over here! Girls got the eye.

Check out the original post on the website (photos in the right hand column).

David: Banksy's Work Seen In Toronto, Detroit, Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco

Toronto, near Trinity Bellwoods Park, Union Station, Rogers Centre

I did a post on this guy showing the preview of his film Exit Through the Gift Shop, which has been playing in select spots throughout the United States (click here to see city listings). Here are some pieces done by Banksy, his crew, and maybe some people copying his style around Toronto, Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, and San Francisco. The only way to know for sure that they're real is to check the outdoors section. But nonetheless all these pieces are amazing. Both provoking and insightful.

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

Below is the photo of the week taken by none other than Sarah Kjelleren. In this photo is Jake Spector and my good friend and very talented model Tereza Kacerova. The styling was done by James Neiley. Once again Sarah does an amazing job in capturing not only Tereza and Jake, but the scenery. I mean look at those bulls in the background! Before I get anymore into this though Sarah described this photo herself. I thought it was a pretty funny story actually lol, but it sounded pretty intense and dangerous too. Check it out below:

We had spent an hour on makeup and styling when my dad came into the room and said "According to the weather radar, there is a HUGE thunderstorm coming in less than five minutes and will last for a long time." At that point I grabbed an umbrella and James, I, and the models grabbed everything that looked neat and jumped into the sienna mini van and zoomed towards the nearby farm. Right as we got into the driveway, the rain started coming down. I jumped out of the van towards one of the sons working on the farm and asked him if he knew we were coming. Apparently he wasn't told, so he turned off the electric fence and let us sneak under. Between the cow poop squishing beneath our toes, the lightening overhead and a small river full of mud separating us from the cows we had an interesting experience getting the shots. It started pouring, and I had already broken my camera once by getting it wet a year earlier, so I was getting very nervous. In the back of the shot you can see that these "cows" were NOT cows, they were bulls. We went back over the small river and were COVERED in mud. Then we heard a very frighting sound coming from behind us. Bulls that were charging after us! It was so scary, Tereza started screaming and we booked it out of there! We hadn't intending on them being there. We got out just in time, and it was pouring. We loaded back into the van soaked in mud, cow poop, and rain. Overall it was a very adventurous shoot and we learned a few things. Thanks to everyone at the farm who allowed us to take pictures there!

Gray: Kid Cudi x Middlebury Review

Kid Cudi

So this past weekend was a great weekend for a few reasons. 1. I spent time with good people 2. Went dumpster diving at St. Mikes with Dan Healy+Max Bailey (believe it!) 3. Oh and Kid Cudi was at Middlebury College on Friday night. This was a much anticipated show, and was getting hyped up right til the end where people were buying uneeded tickets for 5x the face value. Doors at 8 30, I was up there by 6 to scope everything out and to get a good spot in line (front row yeeah). The line got real big around 7 30, and when they let everyone in it was so rushed you wouldn't have needed a ticket anyway! The openers were terrible IMO-not wasting time with them. Kid Cudi's DJ came on for a small set and got the crowd goin for once. When Cudi opened with his chorus in Already Home, the 2500 raging fans went with him from then on. He brought back gold from his mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, like Embrace the Martian and Man on the Moon. Promoting his new album Man on the Moon 2, he did some a cappella verses from that. Handed out some limited edition Bape Kid Cudi x Milo tees, and ended with Cudi Zone and Pursuit of Happiness. Such a good concert, one of the best shows I have seen in a looong time! He kept energy throughout the full show, drinking while rapping, having a good time. Here are some photos from the concert Will f0und on Flickr. If I ever have the opportunity to see Kid Cudi again, I absolutely will. Check out the video below to see footage from the concert shot by David:

David: Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week!

Sarah Kjelleren

And we're back again with another Sarah Kjelleren Photo of the Week! I swear this girl is amazing. Talent at it's finest. In her own words she describes the picture:

"This picture was taken in Lake Champlain in the early summer of last year. It was just about to start pouring and you can see the first raindrop in front of her."

This is week number two and picture number two brought to you by Sarah Kjelleren!

David: TKFV Photo Shoot x Sarah Kjelleren

So we spoiled a few photos on our Facebooks and the new picture at the top of the page, but for those who weren't keeping up with TKFV the past few days we had a photo shoot with Sarah Kjelleren on Friday, April 2nd. It was a long day, but we had a lot of fun. Nothing like a day with the very talented Ms. Kjelleren herself, a camera, and Two Kids From Vermont. Check some of the photos below:
