David: Off to Boston!

For the next couple days I'll be heading to Boston for a school trip... Although I'm kind of just using it as an excuse to get out of Vermont, have a bus driver drive me instead, and go do my own thing. First on my agenda (besides all this school stuff) is to meet with my good friend CJ Bowman. You may remember him from previous posts we put up of him on the site awhile back. Another new Ditto mix is coming out again soon, so we need some grade A cover artwork! Be on the lookout for that to drop soon!

David: Those DeLaLuz Online Store Opening at Midnight!

Click the picture to head to their store
Recenlty we've been in contact with the girls from Those DeLaLuz talking about and getting ready for their online store to officially open tomorrow (1/14) at midnight. The store will feature several of their signature releases including the Signature Crewneck, the Peru Beanie, and Glow Button. Everything will be released in limited quantities, so while quickness on the web isn't required it may be desired!
Signature Crewneck
I'm digging the elbow pads on this. Adds a nice touch.
Peru Beanie
I'm definitely going to need one of these!

Shouts to Those DeLaLuz. Can't wait to see everything that's to come when the shop opens up!

Head over to their site at midnight to start shopping! http://www.thosedelaluz.com

David: Influencers Documentary

I watched this about a month ago and just came across it again today and thought I'd post it on TKFV.

"Influencers" is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends and creativity become contagious today in music, fashion and entertainment. The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach. Written and directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today's pop culture. "Influencers" belongs to the new generation of short films, webdocs, which combine the documentary style and the online experience.

Check it out up top! I highly recommend everyone watch this!

The homie, Vader The Villin, released his newest mixtape, Giant, today. This dude is our favorite rapper out of Vermont right now and also one of our great friends. I was just with him the other night listening to him freestyle and I swear this kid is going places if everything plays out the right way. Below are a few of my favorite songs from the 14 track mixtape. Oh and by the way safe travels to Vader. He'll be heading out to Hawaii for the next couple months this Thursday.

David: Kanye West & Jay-Z x H.A.M. (Download)

Last week Kanye tweeted saying his new single, H.A.M., with Jay-Z would be dropping January 11th.  Today, January 11th, H.A.M. debuted on the Watch The Thrown Facebook Fan Page. Earlier in the week I'd just like to say I wasn't that crazy about the artwork, but after listening to this track produced by 19 year-old, Lex Luger, the song and artwork fit perfectly. Listen to the song and download it below:

David: Day in the Life

I think I'm going to start doing some posts like this. We post a lot of things about other people, but not enough about us. So it's time for all of you to get to see some of Gray and myself outside of the blog. Just a day in the life.

Below is a picture taken by Rikki Lee Thiel of myself and the big homie/second father Luis Calderin, owner of OKAY!! OKAY!! (http://okay-okay.com). This was a little get together right before my Winter Break started. Got to always kick it with the older homies every now and then.

Luis Calderin & David

For those that may remember we've done a lot of projects with OKAY!! OKAY!! from the Burton US Open, Burton summer sales, concerts, and anything we can work on together. They helped us on our big TKFV vs. LA video that essentially started this blog too.

P.S. Shouts to Burton for hooking up the jacket I'm wearing in this picture.

David: Lazerdisk Party Sex Promo Video & Bonus Song Download

Lazerdisk Party Sex
This promo video below was taken at the Black Light White Out show at Higher Ground, which we (Ditto) opened up for. The dudes in Lazerdisk, ZJ and Pres, are really close homies of ours, so expect to see a lot of shows and collaborations from us in the future. In fact I'll be working with Pres in the studio this Thursday so be on the lookout for some music from Ditto very soon! Before I stray off too much though, the Black Light White Out show was also hosted by impartying.com and Triple Take Media, who shot the video below. Live crowd, live set, live everything. Check out the video below:

P.S. You can see D-Cutz and myself up on stage with Lazerdisk and the whole gang at 3:13. And yes, I know, my hat and jacket are swag. Thank you.

The song playing in the video is called "Lemonade is Still Popular." So popular that the SoundCloud version is up to 48,000+ listens. Swag! Take a listen and download it below:

David: The Jet Age Of Tomorrow x The Journey To The 5th Echelon (Album Download)

As a DJ, conga player, piano player, and producer I'd like to start off by saying this is something on a whole new level. The musicianship put into the production of this album is absolutely amazing. This album sounds like an orchestra sent on a ride through space and welcomes every listener a seat on the journey. A little bit of hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and Latin music can be found in this album. But simply put this genre of music is just The Jet Age of Tomorrow. OFWGKTA

Appearances on the album by Hodgy Beats, Mike G, Wolf Haley, Vince Staples, Om'Mas Keith of Sa-Ra and some production by Tyler, the Creator and Left Brain. Download it below:

Hugh Cosby & DJ D-Cutz
First of all Happy New Year's to everyone! To start off the new year I wanted to open up by introducing DJ D-Cutz' and myself's DJ duo, Ditto. To clear up some confusion Ditto is separate from TKFV, though we are all family and have worked on projects together. But be on the lookout for D-Cutz and myself this year in 2011 because it's going to be HUGE. Music, concerts, stealing your women, everything. This is only the beginning!

But first a look back at Ditto in 2010:

The video above was our first major concert at Higher Ground in Vermont. This was the most successful Rave in Vermont history and was so big that the venue OVER sold out. SWAG.
Filmed and edited by TKFV partner, Gray Sicalowski.

Ben Bruderle

Summer Heat

This video is our favorite so far. This was our second major concert at Higher Ground and the show sold out as well.
Filmed and edited by TKFV partner, Gray Sicalowski.
