David: Vader The Villin (Rapper)

Vader the Villin

I was sitting here staring at my computer wondering what I should write about and then I realized we've never done a post on one of the biggest rappers in the Vermont area, Vader the Villin. Vader is one of my really good friends in the area and ever since I've heard his first song ever made I've been a fan ever since. His music is for the ears that enjoy true hip-hop like myself. One of the best up and coming lyricists I've heard and I'm not just saying that because I'm his friend. Check out the videos below to see why I say this dude is amazing.

David: Super High (Remix) x Rick Ross x Wiz Khalifa x Curren$y

It makes sense that Rick Ross would team up with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y to make a remix of Super High lol. This was one of my favorite tracks off of the Albert Anastasia EP by Rick Ross so I was happy to see a remix made out of this song. Plus two out of three of these rapper are two of my favorites (Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa. I still like Curren$y though). Download and listen to the song below!

Gray: TKFV vs. Summer Heat (Video)

Above is the official video of David (DJ D-Kid) and DJ D-Cutz' last concert Summer Heat, which took place last Tuesday (6/22) at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont. It was another sold out crowd and successful show - straight CRAZY! This wasn't my first rave that I filmed, but definitely my favorite. The crowd was wild, energy was high, and everything was going as planned. The video shows how sick it was so get to watching!!!!

David Update: This is just a little something I do besides keeping up with TKFV with Gray. On here I'm David, but on stage I'm DJ D-Kid. Hope everyone checks it out and enjoys!

David: Nicole Eacuello (Model)

Nicole Eacuello

Today I'd like to introduce someone new to the TKFV community. Recently I have been in touch with the incredibly gorgeous Nicole Eacuello, an 18 year old model from Rhode Island and a former student of my very first school I ever attended down there. It's funny because we didn't start talking until little over a week ago and truthfully I'm glad we did because aside from her modeling career she's truly a down to Earth girl and easy to talk to. Something everyone's got to love in a person (am I right?). Below is a short bio of herself that she wrote:
My nationalities are Italian and Japanese. I have been obsessed with the fashion industry since I was six and looked through a Vogue magazine for the first time. From that moment I knew I wanted to pursue modeling as a career. As of right now, the most exciting experience I have had was walking for Kelly Eident's Style Week show. It was so much fun to be part of a huge event. Aside from modeling I went to a boarding school in Connecticut and just recently graduated. I was on a bunch of committees and on National Honors Society. I was also Prom Queen (yay)! Next year I'll be attending the University of Rhode Island. A fun fact about myself is that I auditioned to be on MTVs show the Real World. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.
Check out some more of Nicole's photos below from Kelly Eident's Style Week show:

Gray: Cudderisback (Video)

Although David just posted a little video on Kid Cudi, this is still worthy of a post today. The cudderisback video dropped a while ago, but I only saw it the other night at my dude's place. It is sick because its real- there's no set, its just Cudi and his homies chillin at some apartment or hotel room, doing their thing. Check out the video below and let us know if you like it is much as we do! The song is fire either way!

David: Mayer Hawthorne at HVW8 Art + Design Gallery

Recently adidas presented a performance by Mayer Hawthorne over at our good friend's design gallery, HVW8, in Los Angeles. Both Gray and myself are huge fans of Mayer Hawthorne so we were both excited to see that he was at HVW8 doing this performance.

At this event the attendees were treated to custom silk-screened tee-shirts courtesy of Hit and Run featuring Mayer Hawthorne and the County, adidas graphics, and artwork by emerging artists.

Large-scale artwork from the HVW8 Art Installation was hung on the walls and adidas branded display pedestals showcased adiRise shoes. 20 pairs of adiRise shoes were strung up on a large wire that spanned the width of the stage in alternating grey and white colors, with a mural featuring adidas and Mayer Hawthorne on the back wall. Crown Royale, Hawthorne Headhunters and DJ House Shoes played before and after Mayer Hawthorne and The County performed an hour long set.

David: Summer Heat Recap

DJ D-Kid & DJ D-Cutz

If you visited the blog last night and wondered why there were no posts up it was because Gray and myself were at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont, doing a show all night. Gray was doing the filming again as usual and DJ D-Cutz and myself were keeping the crowd going. Another sold out show and another crazy crowd. Special thanks to Sarah Kjelleren and Mark Rowland for taking photos during the whole night and another thanks to DJ Cody Rice, Mark Mallory, Brad Cole, Eric Dubuque, and AllenMichael Robertson for helping put on the show and keep it moving! David: Thank Us Later (The Remix Album)

Many of you probably know the internet, stores, and the rest of the world have been buzzing about Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later (support the man and buy it here). Yesterday the remix album done by Cookin' Soul and Don Cannon also came out. And let me tell you, IT IS GOOD. I even threw up one of the songs on my Tumblr last night.

What's cool about this album is that Cookin' Soul and Don Cannon didn’t have the acapellas so they got in the studio together with french top producer Spike Miller and electronic spanish producer VibaSound using real live instruments from guitars, to bass, to piano, to strings, and synths. Everything necessary to create this monster with remixes, mashups & originals. Check out the track list and download below.

David: Cisco Adler's New Mixtape SUPERCALIFORNIALIPSTICKSEXYMAGICDOPESHIT

Cisco Adler

Yes, the mixtape name is a mouth full, but you can simple call it SUPERCALI. Cisco Adler, best known for his role in alterna-rap duo Shwayze, just released this yesterday, and after a few listens I'm very impressed. Perfect mixtape to start the summer off with.

Cisco is a part of the OKAY!! OKAY!! family and Luis (the head guy of the company) went on the Party Rock tour with him, Shwayze, LMFAO, Far East Movement, Paradiso Girls, & Space Cowboy. So yeah, we do not mess around over here and neither does Cisco. Here's some of what OKAY!! OKAY!! had to say about the mixtape on their blog:

Malibu, CA- SUPERCALIFORNIALIPSTICKSEXYMAGICDOPESHIT (aka SUPERCALI) is the latest offering from Cisco Adler, best known for his role in alterna-rap duo Shwayze. Showcasing his talents as a songwriter, performer, and producer, this mixtape not only shows Adler’s range of skills and dedication to music production– it proves that he is a formidable, triple-threat music force to be reckoned with in 2010. Adler is breaking all of the rules by offering up an album of completely original songs, tallying in at an unprecedented twenty-three tracks- all of which are available for free. Musically, this collection of smash hits touches on everything from hip-hop and electro to rock-love songs and summer super-pop. To have this sort of diversity all on one release while maintaining continuity and flow is rare, but then again Adler’s success in this impressive collection is due in part to the breadth of folks he works with. - OKAY!! OKAY!! (full post click here)

Gray: Brown Dirt Warrior

In this day, there are many different ways to make a living. Some people pay their bills by being doctors, lawyers or teachers. This guy, the Brown Dirt Warrior, grows marijuana deep in British Columbia to put food on the table. He has been growing weed for a living for over 20 years, and has the process down to an art. By this description alone, most would label the Brown Dirt Warrior as a bad guy, but I challenge you all to give him a second look. He created this web series on YouTube, where he films a whole "season" of growing his weed. The series is only 15 episodes long, but shows exactly what this guy goes through to get paid. He deals with mother nature screwing him over, people robbing him, a serious drug helicopter close call, and much more. At the end of watching this series, I felt a sense of sympathy for this drug producing man. You forget that he is growing weed, and can almost relate to the problems he is dealing with. In the end, he is just a farmer.

Gray: Kicks of the Week

I'm not a huge Supra fan and I'm not that crazy about the high Skytop shoes that they have, but as I was searching the internet I came across these. Coming soon are two new color waves for the Supra Bandit. The first sports a grey suede upper all over. Black canvas panels can be found in the quarter panel and on the ankle. The second pair uses an all black upper with similar material placement as the first pair. A gum sole sits underneath. So stay on the lookout these should be dropping at your local spot soon.

David: Create Build Destroy Clothing

You know it's funny, I have a link for the Create Build Destroy website on our page, wear their clothes almost everyday, see one of the people that work with the company almost everyday, and am wearing one of there shirts in the picture of Gray and myself up top, but I have never done a post about Create Build Destroy on the TKFV blog. So I'd like to break that today by introducing them. Create Build Destroy was originally started in Vermont by one of my good friends, Alex, who I went to school with for one year, and a few others. Today CBD has expanded from Vermont to stores in Italy, France, Boston, and New York City. So yeah, they don't mess around.

Next Spring/Summer (2011) CBD collection called, Children of a Lesser God, is being released. I've already seen a few of the pieces and am looking forward to getting my hands on a few. I'll have the lookbook up for everyone to see very soon. In the meantime visit their website or take a look at their amazing blog which I visit everyday.

Shout out to my homie Jordan, who is also a part of the CBD crew!
